BRAC is implementing number of projects/activities of IRRI. These are:
a) Hybrid Rice Development Consortium (HRDC)
b) Sustainable Intensification of Rice-Maize Production system in Bangladesh (ACIAR-IRRI)
c) Cereal System Initiative for South Asia (CSISA)
d) Green Super Rice for the Resource-poor of Africa and Asia (GSR)
e) Stress Tolerant Rice for Poor Farmers in Africa and South Asia (STRASA)
f) Support to Agricultural Research for Climate Change Adaptation in Bangladesh (SARCCAB)
2) Partner on Challenge Program on Water and Food (CPWF) funded project:
BRAC conduct farmer participatory research to develop rice and aquaculture system by utilizing available land and water resources of the coastal regions of Bangladesh.
3) International Maize and Wheat Research Center (CIMMYT)
BRAC is receiving germplasm of new parental line of CIMMYT. They have also provided training to BRAC staff to improve its capacity building.
4) International Potato Center (CIP)
BRAC has been receiving potato germplasm from CIP especially for table and industrial potatoes for evaluation in Bangladesh.
5) World Fish Center (WFC)
BRAC is entrusted to organize reflection and knowledge sharing events to help adapting agriculture and aquaculture technologies for higher productivity of the coastal regions.
6) Harvest plus Challenge Program (CIAT and IFPRI)
BRAC is providing support for communication and deployment of Zinc fortified rice varieties in Bangladesh.
